Production shop associate

The Glass Ribbon Project, a newly formed non-profit that uses art to support those with cancer, seeks an associate to work in the production shop and with cancer survivors, patients and their families. You don't need art training or a degree but you need to be organized, have a lot of energy and a great attitude and like working as part of a team. responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Cutting glass by hand and with a tile saw, loading and unloading kilns, keeping track of and processing glass mosaic projects created by individuals as well as large groups, and communicating with other departments to meet production deadlines. This is not a graphic design or product design position, but does require manual dexterity, color differentiation, and repetitive tasks. This position is very hands-on and applicant must be able to lift 40-50 lbs.
