Production/Color Separation Artist

We are a fast paced screen printing and embroidery shop, looking for a production/separation artist to produce and separate designs for wearable apparel. Hours are from 8:00am and 4:30pm, Monday through Friday, with some overtime required during busy times. Experience with apparel designs is preferred. It is common that you will be expected to produce separations for 7-10+ designs per day, in addition to maintaining email correspondence with customers, proofing artwork, and printing film positives. Programs used internally, but not limited to: Corel Graphics Suite Vector Magic Shop Management Software Microsoft Office Responsibilities: Reproducing and converting logos and designs to vector images Separating spot color and process designs for film output Print separations on film with accuracy, to be exposed on screens Interact with customers to obtain approval on artwork Work collaboratively and communicate well with all shop departments and management Maintain quality control of artwork and film positives Ideal candidate would be: Analytical, organized and good at problem-solving Accurate and have a high attention to detail Able to manage multiple projects at a time, with an often unpredictable workload Able to effectively communicate at all levels A team- player; a good attitude is a must Open to new ideas and constructive criticism Job Type: Full-time Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour Schedule: Monday to Friday Experience: screen printing/production artist: 2 years (Preferred) Graphic Art and Design: 1 year (Required)
