The core of graphic design at SCAD is the "Thinking by Doing" pedagogy. This approach - defined by three top-line objectives called "The Three Cs: consume, comprehend, create" - develops designers who understand and articulate their work from an informed point-of-view. From this foundation, students generate successful market-ready ideas, connect thought with form, and integrate work across media. The candidate should be comfortable teaching in cross-disciplinary teams focused on experiential projects and possess the ability to teach undergraduate and graduate courses in typography, print, and interactive design.
