Job Description Sawhorse Revolution’s Program Coordinator actualizes design-build programs that teach youth carpentry and architecture through community projects. We are looking for an exceptional candidate who is experienced in education and social justice and committed to craft. Both skills are needed for the Program Coordinator to thrive, but our ideal candidates will walk in the door strongest on one of the two. Sawhorse has a particular and time- tested method for empowering youth to create community projects, and we are looking for folks who will learn our organization’s methods, help care for our mission, values, and each other, and grow with us. \\- Strong experience in education and/or construction, *Both Preferred* 3+ years of teaching youth in an academic, non-proft, etc…forum Understanding of curriculum and implementation OR: 3+ years working in residential construction Degree in Wood Construction counts toward “Strong” experience but not necessary \\- Commitment to intersectional social justice and work that shows that commitment \\+ Core Skills Required: \\- Self-management skills \\- Ability to complete tasks to a high degree of quality in a timely manner \\- Willingness to listen and learn \\- Willingness to lead when applicable \\- Striving to be aware of oneself in relation to the whole \\- Ability to manage a complex project \\- Respect and practice inclusive language \\- Can handle dynamic, demanding situations \\- Responsible and caring \\- Adaptable \\+ Skills Preferred: \\- Graphic Design/ InDesign Skills \\- Experience working with a small non-profit \\- Marketing \\- Ability to safely drive a truck and trailer \\- Knowledge of construction: materials handling, ordering, tool safety, etc.
