We’re hiring a seasoned Visual/Brand Designer to join a central product team at one of the world’s most recognizable consumer tech brands. This team supports over 100 internal teams through a scalable visual system that powers the brand’s in-product experiences. You’ll contribute to brand expression across digital surfaces by creating illustration systems, iconography, and internal branding assets—partnering closely with art directors, product designers, and engineers.This hands-on role is ideal for a designer who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys strategic and systems-level thinking, and brings an exceptional eye for visual craft and consistency.Key Responsibilities:Create custom illustrations to support in-product storytelling and comprehension.Design and prototype branded, expressive product experiences with a clear emotional tone.Develop and evolve the visual identity within product design systems and patterns.Collaborate with cross-functional teams and present strategic design approaches to stakeholders.Maintain high standards of craft and consistency across a broad range of media.Work independently while integrating feedback and adapting to changing priorities.Required Skills & Experience:10+ years of experience in visual/graphic design for digital products (mobile, web).Demonstrated expertise in illustration, iconography, and communication design.Strong proficiency with Figma and Adobe Creative Suite.Experience working within or building design systems at scale.Strong visual storytelling ability and systems thinking.Comfortable presenting work and articulating design rationale clearly.Preferred Qualifications:Experience working directly within product design teams or on design systems.Familiarity with motion/animation or 3D design.Exposure to AI tools and emerging design technologies.Additional Notes:Candidates must provide a portfolio demonstrating branding, product, and communication design experience.This is a 6-month contract with the potential for extension.Interviews will be conducted virtually in 1–2 rounds.Logistics:Location: Remote, but must be located in San Francisco or New YorkClient: A leading technology company in the social media and consumer tech spaceHours: 40 per weekDuration: 6 months with the potential to extendWork Authorization: Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
