Graphic Designer - Contract (Sports & Entertainment) | Immediate Start Through End of Year

We're partnering with an exciting professional sports and entertainment organization to find a Graphic Designer for a contract role through the end of the year (3 months), with real room for exposure and growth. This is a contract hire to help make that transition smooth, with the opportunity to continue on or take on more freelance projects going forward. Create content for sporting event announcements and team/league communications
Design creative for the organization's stadium - a major venue that hosts big events year-round
Support the corporate partnerships team with sponsor-facing creative
Own and build out templates for a specific brand - not just editing existing files, but improving how the templates themselves work
Dig into the project portal to identify and take on smaller, self-contained projects
Collaborate closely with the design team to keep work consistent across channels
Stay aware of design trends, typography, and the broader creative landscape

Genuine curiosity about the work itself - no need to be a sports fan, just excited to solve creative problems
A portfolio that shows range across illustrative design, typography, print, and digital
Comfort in Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, InDesign), Figma, and Keynote
2+ years of graphic design experience; a bachelor's degree in Graphic Design or a related field is a plus but not required with the right portfolio

Onsite 4 days/week (Monday-Thursday) in downtown Chicago, with some flexibility for scheduling needs - or fully remote for more experienced candidates, with freelance/remote setups able to flex to one day/week onsite
Contract through the end of the year, with potential to extend or convert based on how things go
