Research Assistant (Outreach)

**Overview: ** The Diabetes Clinical Research Program (DCRP) is seeking an Outreach Research Assistant with strong communication and organizational skills to help promote type 1 diabetes research taking place at Benaroya Research Institute, and help recruit type 1 diabetes patients and their families for studies and clinical trails. **Responsibilities: ** • Recruit potential participants to research studies in the Diabetes Clinical Research Program. • Provide administrate support such as data entry, filing, making copies, maintaining inventory, building test kits and mailings. • Assist in planning screening events throughout the Pacific Northwest. **Requirements: ** • Work experience or Education in marketing communications, project or event planning, public relations, or working in a community outreach, advocacy or medical research setting • Have a strong interest in medical science and can communicate scientific research concepts to a lay audience • Confident meeting people of all ages and backgrounds • Ability to work well in a team • Graphic design and simple video production skills highly desirable • Must be available to travel and work some evenings and weekends • Has a solid understanding of type 1 diabetes and is passionate about medical research Visit https://careers- benaroyaresearch.icims.com/jobs/1718/research- assistant-%28outreach%29/job to apply for this position.
