Retail Designer, Marketing - Lakeland

The purpose of a Retail Designer is to create interior and exterior environmental signage guides for individual stores, ensuring the quality of execution across all areas of responsibility. The Retail Designer position impacts the visual and experiential journey of a store’s visitors. This position determines how the Publix brand is brought to life in retail stores, office locations and for high level events. Responsibilities: Performs the operational needs of the retail environmental design program – executing and reviewing the work associated with the program while ensuring that marketing strategies are incorporated, and appropriate brand expression is achieved.Develops signage install guide mechanicals and final files, ensuring final designs deliver upon signage standards, meets strategy, are technically and aesthetically excellent, and are on brand (adhere to Publix brand standards).Bachelors degree in an environmental graphics related field (e.g., Interior Design) or equivalent combination of formal training/certification and professional work experience that demonstrates the prerequisite competence to perform the duties of this position.2 years’ experience in environmental graphic designAbility to travel occasionallyKnowledge of print media and related materials used in environmental signage, including traditional flat material, dimensional material, and hardwareKnowledge of general print production processesKnowledge of general design processesKnowledge of industry and market trendsDecisiveCreative ThinkingPlanning & Evaluating SkillsPresentation SkillsWritten Communication Skills1 year as Retail Design Coordinator (or equivalent) or 3 years’ experience in environmental graphic designKnowledge of Marketing department workflow processes and project lifecycles, Publix brand including Publix target customers, and business objectives
