An established Santa Barbara based Design/Build and Interior Design firm is seeking a highly motivated Draftsperson/Project Manager to assist with drafting and permit processing for a range of project sizes, from ADUs to high-end residential and estate design projects and small commercial architectural projects. Role and Responsibilities ● Taking field measurements and drafting as-built floor plans ● Drafting interior remodel plans and interior/ exterior elevations to meet office standards ● Help with coordination and preparation for schematic design, design development and/or construction documents. ● Preparing client and Design review presentations ● Provide design support as needed ● Create 3D rendering models and sketches ● Submitting plans to the City and/or County Building and planning department ● Corresponding with consultants and building/planning officials Desired Skills and Experience: ● Bachelor's Degree in Architecture in progress or completed. ● Three to Five years professional experience in Architecture, Design, or similar industry ● Knowledge of City and County of Santa Barbara municipal code and interface ● Excellent proficiency in Revit, modeling families and real world application ● Proficiency in 3D max, Enscape or any other rendering software a plus ● Proficiency in Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and other graphic programs ● Understanding of construction detailing and consultant drawings ● Highly motivated, self starter with the ability to meet pre- disclosed deadlines ● Ability to work on multiple projects in a fast-paced environment ● Ability to prioritize and to manage work independently ● Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
