Reporting to the Senior Director of Brand Strategy, this role will be instrumental in shaping, expanding, and evolving the visual expression of the MUSC brand – crafting design systems and creative assets that reflect our identity, push it forward, and build a lasting design legacy that resonates, inspires, and grows with every touchpoint, all in support of MUSC’s mission to lead health innovation and its vision for a healthier South Carolina. Creative Collaboration and Concepting (25%) • Partner with writers, strategists, and marketing teams to bring integrated campaigns and content to life – aligning creative direction to achieve intended outcomes and support enterprise goals. • Experience: 7+ years in graphic design, ideally within a creative agency or in-house team, with a focus on health care or academic environments. • Ability to develop scalable, repeatable template systems that ensure brand consistency across teams • Experience in medical or academic environments • Familiarity with scientific illustration and data visualization • Excellent communication and presentation skills • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment • Strong portfolio showcasing a range of design work, from brand identity to integrated campaigns, with execution across digital and print media • Understanding of HIPAA compliance in visual communications • Understanding of accessibility standards and inclusive design principles Please share your resume, portfolio, and cover letter that showcase your experience, eye for compelling design, and the philosophy that drives your creative work.
