Senior Graphics Design Engineer

As a Senior Graphics Design Engineer, you will: • Work on a set of delightful, high quality, performant experiences that work across 3D (VR, AR) and 2D (PCs, Tablets, Phones) endpoints • Partner with industry-leading, Artists, Designers, Engineers, and Product Managers (PMs) to turn concepts into wonderful, shipping experiences and tools • Work with state-of-the art next generation Mixed Reality hardware, sensors, and software • Contribute to team growth, team health and culture by demonstrating Microsoft’s leadership principles • Embody our Culture and Values Required Qualifications: • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Graphic Design, Product Design, Visual Design, Human Computer Interaction, or related field AND 4+ years experience working in product or service design and/or shipping production code • OR Master's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Graphic Design, Product Design, Visual Design, Human Computer Interaction, or related field AND 3+ years experience working in product or service design and/or shipping production code • OR equivalent experience. Preferred Qualifications: • Able to collaborate with artists and engineers to define a roadmap for integrating new graphics technologies and debugging existing systems • Experience working as a bridge between art and engineering • Knowledge of real-time graphics techniques and shader authoring (HLSL, GLSL, or shader graphs) • Experience with Graphics Processing Units (GPUs) and Central Processing Units (CPUs) profiling techniques to optimization graphics related workloads • Familiarity with 3D math concepts for graphics and games (linear algebra) • Aesthetic sense with an understanding of 3D content creation pipelines • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with artists to improve their efficiency in creating assets and achieving desired visual fidelity • Experience shipping multiple projects or products end to end • Communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams Certain roles may be eligible for benefits and other compensation.
