Senior Motion Graphics Designer

Our client, a dynamic and innovative production studio located in Provo, Utah, US , is seeking a highly creative and technically proficient Senior Motion Graphics Designer to join their vibrant Arts & Entertainment team. You will be instrumental in conceptualizing, designing, and executing high-quality motion graphics for a diverse range of projects, including broadcast graphics, commercial advertisements, digital content, and internal corporate communications. The ideal candidate will have a strong portfolio showcasing expertise in 2D and 3D animation, typography, color theory, and compositing. You'll be responsible for developing storyboards, style frames, and animatics, translating client briefs and creative concepts into polished visual assets. Collaboration with directors, editors, and other creative professionals will be a key aspect of this role, ensuring that all motion graphics align with project objectives and brand guidelines. You should be adept at working with industry-standard software, including Adobe After Effects, Premiere Pro, Cinema 4D, and potentially other relevant 3D modeling and rendering packages.

Key responsibilities include:
Designing and animating compelling motion graphics for various media platforms. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop creative solutions. Managing multiple projects simultaneously, meeting deadlines, and maintaining high standards of quality. Staying up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in motion graphics and visual effects. Providing creative input and feedback during the pre-production and production phases. Ensuring all deliverables meet technical specifications and project requirements. Mentoring junior designers and contributing to a positive team culture.
Qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Animation, Fine Arts, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience. A minimum of 5 years of professional experience in motion graphics design, with a proven track record in a fast-paced creative environment. Exceptional proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro) is essential. Experience with 3D software like Cinema 4D or Blender is highly desirable. Strong understanding of storytelling, visual design principles, and animation techniques. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present ideas effectively. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic setting. A strong portfolio demonstrating creativity, technical skill, and a keen eye for detail is required for consideration.
