The Senior Web Designer is accountable for end-to-end ownership of complex design projects, from discovery and concept development to client delivery, with a focus on public-sector solutions that meet usability, accessibility, and organizational standards. Responsibilities Lead design efforts for websites and applications, producing wireframes, mockups, and polished UI designsGuide user experience strategy and align visual solutions with client goalsCreate scalable design systems and reusable visual components for long-term consistencyOversee and enforce accessibility and compliance standards (WCAG, Section 508)Mentor junior designers, sharing knowledge and elevating team skillsetsContribute to internal process improvement efforts, identifying efficiencies and implementing design best practicesLead or participate in cross-functional planning, retrospectives, and creative reviewsProvide training and guidance to clients using the content management system (CMS) from a design and usability perspectiveCollaborate across teams to ensure seamless integration of design, content, and overall project goalsAssist with other creative tasks and projects to support the team’s overall effectiveness
