Service Designer
Position Overview
We are seeking a Service Designer to shape and improve end-to-end customer and employee experiences across digital and physical touchpoints. The role focuses on user-centered research, service blueprinting, and cross-functional collaboration to define scalable, measurable service solutions that meet business goals. The ideal candidate will blend design thinking, systems-level insight, and practical implementation experience to drive continuous improvements.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct qualitative and quantitative user research to uncover needs, pain points, and opportunities across journeys.Create and maintain service blueprints, customer journey maps, and ecosystem diagrams that surface end-to-end processes and handoffs.Translate research insights into actionable service concepts, prototypes, and backlog-ready requirements for product and operations teams.Facilitate workshops and co-creation sessions with stakeholders, product managers, engineers, and operations to align on solutions and implementation plans.Design and iterate on touchpoint-level UX and interaction patterns in collaboration with UX/UI designers and content strategists.Define success metrics and monitor service performance; use data and feedback loops to prioritize improvements.Support implementation by clarifying requirements, participating in sprint planning, and validating experiences in real-world contexts.Document design decisions, governance, and operational guidance to ensure consistent delivery and handover to delivery teams.Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Service Design, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).6+ years of professional experience in service design, user experience, or related roles, with a strong portfolio of end-to-end service work.Proven experience conducting user research, usability testing, and synthesizing insights into service artefacts (journey maps, blueprints, personas).Strong facilitation and stakeholder management skills; comfortable leading workshops and cross-disciplinary alignment sessions.Proficiency with design and prototyping tools (e.g., Figma, Sketch, Miro) and familiarity with analytics tools to measure service outcomes.Excellent communication and documentation skills, able to translate complex systems into clear artifacts and guidance.Experience working in agile product teams and collaborating closely with engineers, product managers, and operations.Preferred: formal background or coursework in HCI, design thinking, or a related discipline; experience implementing changes in operational environments.In this position, you may have access to client or customer systems, confidential and/or proprietary information or data, including financial information. This position is onsite and requires you to work closely with other individuals in a collaborative team environment.
