Sign Maker / Installer

Horizon Sign Company is looking for an experienced Sign Maker/Fabricator/Installer to join our team. The Sign Maker will be responsible for all aspects of the physical production of signs. RESPONSIBILITIES: Follow layouts to apply computer-generated vinyl or full-color graphic images on substrates or mediums Prepare substrates for application, which may include cutting, painting, laminating, cleaning, and maintaining the substrates for vinyl application Weed excess vinyl prior to final application Perform finishing operations such as laminating, encapsulating, and/or mounting Perform quality assurance measures, pre- and post-production Maintain inventory, to include monitoring levels, ordering, and storage Load, transport, and install finished products for clients Maintain cleanliness and organization of production and storage areas Perform routine machine maintenance and minor repairs, as needed Work on multiple projects simultaneously Consult with clients, including answering phones, emails, and online queries Accurately track electronic and paper records related to jobs Establish and maintain effective relationships with colleagues, support departments, suppliers, etc. Learn new technologies, skills, and techniques for continuous self-improvement Follow all company policies, procedures, and business ethics codes Perform other duties, as assigned QUALIFICATIONS: 5+ years of experience as a professional sign maker – design and production Strong verbal and written communications skills Basic math skills (adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing whole numbers and fractions and converting fractions to decimals and vice versa) Background in vinyl creation and application Large format digital printing Design creativity Expertise in using Adobe Design tool suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.)
