Sign Shop Assistant / Vinyl Graphics Maker

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Weeding cut vinyl Masking and prepping vinyl Application of vinyl to various substrates Punching out stickers Installing vinyl graphics onto vehicles and windows Maintain general order and cleanliness of production table and installation warehouse Remain courteous and professional with customers Perform all job tasks efficiently Able to understand how to use a tape measure Able to use a utility knife and cut substrates accurately and with clean edges Work performed will be onsite most of the time but can occur onsite at customer location Work as a team player with co-workers and supervisors Assist with moving customer vehicles as needed Communicate effectively and coordinate information between all team members Immediately notifies supervisor of possible production problems Other duties as assigned KNOWLEDGE, ABILITY, AND SKILL: Knowledge: Signs, Stickers, Craftsmanship Vinyl weeding/prepping/installing Proper use of tools used for manufacturing signs Working knowledge of basic computer programs Working knowledge of Adobe Illustrator is a PLUS Working knowledge of sign making is a PLUS Understanding graphic design is a PLUS Ability: To work unsupervised at times To read, write and organize information Establish successful working relationships with co- workers and clients On rare occasion to work weekends and evenings Skill: Attention to detail Efficient typing and computer skills Math skills necessary to process measurements Pay: $15.00 per hour Benefits: Employee discount Semi- Flexible schedule Schedule: 5 hour shift Monday to Friday Some Weekends Work Location: One location Pay frequency: Every other week Work includes: Evenings Weekends Paid Training: Yes - On the job training Management: Owner or Production Manager Employees working per shift: 5 or fewer Advancement Opportunities: This is a great opportunity to learn about sign making and the sign industry.
