Signarama is looking for a Designer / Printer to join our team. This position is ideal for someone with sign shop, print production, graphic design, or wide-format printing experience. The role includes preparing artwork, operating production equipment, assisting with sign fabrication, and supporting customers when needed.
Responsibilities
The Designer / Printer will be responsible for:
Creating and preparing customer artwork for production
Using FlexiDesign as the primary design software
Using Adobe Illustrator when needed
Sending artwork proofs to customers
Operating an HP Latex 365 printer
Loading and unloading printer media and substrates
Handling materials that may weigh up to 75 lbs
Loading and unloading the laminator
Operating a Graphtec plotter
Weeding vinyl
Applying vinyl to a variety of substrates
Making banners
Laminating printed graphics
Assisting with general sign production when needed
Answering phones when other team members are busy
Helping walk-in customers as needed
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have:
Experience with FlexiDesign, or similar sign design software
Experience with Adobe Illustrator
Knowledge of wide-format printing and vinyl production
Ability to accurately measure, trim, weed, laminate, and apply vinyl
Ability to lift, load, and unload materials up to 75 lbs
Strong attention to detail
Good communication and customer service skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Willingness to help with production tasks as needed
Knowledge of CoreBridge is helpful but not required.
Physical Requirements
This position requires standing, lifting, bending, loading and unloading materials, and working with production equipment. Candidate must be able to safely lift and handle substrates and printer media up to 75 lbs.
Work Environment
This is a hands-on position in a busy sign shop environment. The right candidate should be dependable, detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable moving between design work, equipment operation, customer communication, and production tasks.
