Designs traffic control signs; uses digital design software to create the patterns for traffic control signs; saves the appropriate files for each design created; and creates and designs specialty signs as requested. Fabricates traffic control signs; receives and reviews work orders; generates production schedule; determines priorities; operates production machinery; applies color sheeting; trims excess; cleans and maintains production equipment; and completes and maintains work logs. Installs and maintains traffic signs; drills holes; fastens signage to post or object face; inserts anchor into holes or drives pins into anchor or drives anchor into the ground; installs post; removes old signs and posts as needed; inspects existing traffic signs; and performs cleaning, repairs, or replacements as needed. Performs other duties in support of department operations; assists with applying pavement markings; sets up work zones for installations; and prepares and submits invoices. Must possess and maintain a valid South Carolina Driver's License.
