This hands-on experience will include learning about trend research, graphic creation, material selection, print techniques, and the merchandising process. You’ll gain valuable insight into how WNBA-inspired collections are brought to life, sharpening your skills in design software, collaboration, and brand storytelling.This position offers the opportunity to grow your career in sports and lifestyle apparel while contributing to the future of women’s basketball culture—right here in Indianapolis.What You'll DoCreate graphics, illustrations, and branding elements for WNBA-themed apparel and merchandise.Work with the design team to develop seasonal collections, including t-shirts, hoodies, jerseys, hats, and accessories.Research design trends in sports, streetwear, and fan culture to inspire fresh, innovative concepts.Collaborate with product developers and manufacturers to ensure artwork translates effectively to physical merchandise.Prepare production-ready files, including tech packs, color separations, and print specifications.Support marketing and e-commerce teams by creating digital assets such as product mockups, social media graphics, and promotional materials.Maintain brand consistency while exploring new creative approaches that resonate with WNBA fans.Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute ideas for new product lines and collaborations.Support other SLAM graphic design, creative and marketing requests as needed.Who You AreBachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Graphic Design, Fashion Design, or a related field.Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign); experience with Figma or other design tools is a plus.Passion for basketball, sports fashion, and streetwear trends.Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with a collaborative mindset.If you’re a creative, basketball-loving designer ready to bring fresh ideas to the WNBA merchandise space, we’d love to hear from you!Why You'll Love Working at SLAMAt SLAM, we believe in doing meaningful work with people who genuinely care.
