Job DescriptionJob Descriptionsmartdept. inc. is searching for a Graphic Designer for a Retail Display Manufacturing client in Kansas City, Missouri. The ideal candidate will have 2-3 years of experience in print or packaging production. This is a contract-to-hire opportunity. The pay for this position is expected to be $20/hr - $25/hr depending on level of experience.What You’ll Do:Responsible for conceptual ideas in the form of 3d renderings and graphic design work related to package and point-of-purchasing displaysArtwork development, optimizing of customer-provided graphics, creative input/brainstorming meetings, conceptual 3d renderings, and development of assembly instructionsResponsible for pre-flighting and optimizing customer-provided graphic files for high-speed digital inkjet print productionReviewing and prepping graphics for print production, prepping files for printed samples, generating PDF proofs, inspecting press sheets, and running color reportsWhat You’ll Need:Proficient in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop (open to learning ancillary programs such as 3DS Max, Artios CAD)The individual for this role should be creative and detail-oriented2-3 years of experience in print and packaging production
