Special Projects Publishing Design Specialist

The State of Oregon is looking for a creative and highly motivated Special Projects Publishing Design Specialist to manage the design and production of publications and documents for our department. The ideal candidate will have a passion for visual design and publication production, along with a commitment to providing excellent customer service. The successful candidate must possess excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and have a strong eye for detail and accuracy. We are looking for someone who has a minimum of three years of experience in graphic design, document production, and page layout, combined with a thorough understanding of the entire publishing process. Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office is a must. Additionally, a degree in graphic design, publishing, or a related field is preferred.\n\nResponsibilities:
Manage the design and production of publications and documents for the State of Oregon.
Ensure high-quality customer service when interacting with clients and stakeholders.
Assist with developing visual designs for the publications and documents.
Create page layouts and document structures that meet customer specifications.
Ensure accuracy and attention to detail when creating page layouts and document structures.
Utilize Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office to produce documents.
Stay up to date with industry standards and trends in design and publishing.
Train and mentor junior staff on the production and design process.
Collaborate with other departments within the organization to ensure timely completion of projects.
