This program is designed to provide practical experience, skill-building, and career exposure for emerging talent in the San Antonio community.Who You Are:To be eligible for the Ready to Work Internship Program, candidates must meetallof the following criteria:• Must be acurrent undergraduate or graduate student , including:• Rising undergraduate juniors,or• Graduate students who have completedat least one yearof their program• Must haveat least one academic year remainingfollowing completion of the internship• Must beeligible to participate in the City of San Antonio's Ready to Work Program• Must bebased in or attending school in the San Antonio area• Must be available to participate in thefull 8-week internship program(June 22 - August 14, 2026)• Must be available to workup to 40 hours per weekduring the internship periodThe Graphic Designer Internwill support creative and design initiatives while gaining hands-on experience in visual storytelling, branding, and digital content creation within a professional environment.What You'll Do• Assist in creating graphics for digital and print materials (social media, presentations, marketing assets)• Support the development and execution of visual brand elements• Help organize and maintain design files and creative assets• Collaborate with team members on design projects and creative conceptsWhat You'll Gain• Practical experience in graphic design and creative production workflows• Exposure to branding, marketing design, motion graphics, and visual communication strategies• Strengthened design, creativity, and attention-to-detail skillIn every position, each employee is expected to: demonstrate alignment with SS&E's core values and mission, collaborate with internal/external community members and demonstrate ongoing development.If you don't have experience in every single bullet above, no sweat - we still want to hear from you and encourage you to apply!SS&E is an Equal Opportunity EmployerNothing contained in this job description is intended to be a contract of employment, nor does any information contained here represent a guarantee of employment for a specific duration.
