Sr. Graphic Designer

The Sr. Graphic Designer will have a high level of autonomy and independence regarding the overall design and brand aesthetic. This position is based out of Bend, OR.What You'll be Doing:Brand DevelopmentLead the development and evolution of the brand's visual identity, ensuring consistency across all design elements.Understand the business objectives, always bringing a customer-centric viewpoint to the conversation through design recommendations and creative briefs.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand brand positioning and values, bringing them to life across all consumer touchpoints.Create and design marketing materials that are aligned with Deschutes Brewery's business goals and marketing objectives.Advises on strategies to reach target audiences through assisting in the development of the design and creative direction in conjunction with the brand team.Design rough layout of art and copy regarding arrangement, size, type size and style, and related aesthetic concepts.Work closely with copywriters, photographers, and other creative professionals to ensure cohesive visual storytelling.Packaging Design Create innovative and visually stunning packaging designs for a range of products.Manage packaging production designer and collaborate with packaging production teams to ensure design brief and vision are translated into real life products.Oversee packaging process and QA process, approving final designs and mechanicals before printing, publishing, or distributing.Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and brand guidelines.Marketing Materials and Sales Tools Create, edit, and redesign marketing materials as well as best in class sales tools (POS materials, trade tools, presentation templates, menus, advertising, promotional items, merchandise, etc. ).Elevate and evolve photography and video aesthetics through competitive research, design insights and best-in-class execution.Create visually engaging digital assets for online platforms, social media, and e-commerce.Collaborate with marketing team to align design concepts with promotional strategies.Event and Partnership Support Contribute to the development of creative assets for events, in market activation, and promotional campaigns with partners and/or at our owned and operated locations.Ensure that promotional materials align with the overall brand and campaign themes.Organization and Leadership Sets deadlines and maintain ownership over the entire creative design workflow and acts as the point person for all design-related projects.Onboards and manages direct report and contractors, leads scopes of work, the brief process and project management.Responsible for contract set up on external partners and maintaining annual design budgets and month-to-month tracking of budgets.Responsible for the organization of files, clearances of purchased or licensed design materials, and follow through of cataloging finished products in brand libraries.Ability to marry creative vision with business and consumer-focused objectives and have the ability to effectively communicate creative decisions amongst the extended brewery team and third-party partners.Complies with Deschutes Brewery safety practices, policies and procedures and actively promotes safe work other duties as assigned.What You'll need for this Position: Bachelor's degree in advertising, design, marketing, or relevant field.5-7 years of directly related experience in graphic design in consumer goods and packaging design.Highly proficient in Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe InDesign, Adobe Bridge and Adobe Acrobat.Proven track record and portfolio that demonstrates high-quality creative work that aligns with consumer needs and business objectives.Exceptional leadership, management, and communication skills.Experience in developing and managing budgets and timelines.Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.Strong attention to detail and ability to ensure brand consistency across all marketing materials.Excellent creative and artistic presentation skills, able to present creative work, clearly explaining the assignment, creative strategy, creative idea and how it accomplishes the business objectives.Strong conceptual skills relating to brand marketing, campaign development and consumer engagement.Strong understanding of design principles, typography, color theory, and branding.Ability to thrive in a high-pace environment, multi-task multiple projects and prioritize workload effectively.Team player- willingness to step outside of the specific job title/role to assist where needed within the marketing department.Preferred Education, Experience & Attributes: Experience working in beverage or alcohol products across a multi-state multi-channel footprint.Previous experience managing teams, contractors, and vendors.Physical Requirements & Working Conditions: General office environment with prolonged periods of
