Student Graphic Designer

About the position The student will work at the interface of graphic design and scientific storytelling, and will support the lead Graphic Designer in creating effective communication material for labs, staff, and the communications team at Morgridge. The student should be able to commit to 10–15 hours per week and have availability during the work week (Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.). There may be opportunities for more hours over breaks and summer. Ideal candidates will be working toward an associate or bachelor’s degree.Technical ProficienciesVector Illustration: High proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, with a focus on creating precise, scalable vector assets.Layout & Typography: High proficiency in Adobe InDesign to produce professional-grade document layouts and structured typography.Visual Communication: A sophisticated design aesthetic with a focus on clean, modern visuals and complex data visualization.Iterative Design: The ability to translate complex technical concepts into accessible visual content, with a proven capacity to incorporate stakeholder feedback.Nice-to-haves
