Since 1858, the American Printing House for the Blind has operated in Louisville, Kentucky as the world’s largest nonprofit organization creating accessible learning experiences through educational, workplace, and independent living products and services for people who are blind and low vision. Reporting to the Tactile Graphic Artist 2 under guidance from the Director of Product Advancement, the Tactile Graphic Artist 1 will contribute to the product advancement process by adapting images to accessible tactile graphic formats, aiding in the maintenance of styles and standards of tactile access, and creating, editing, and maintaining other content for Education Products Innovation Department. • Work independently or in collaboration with others to support the development or modernization of APH products, typically under the supervision of an APH product manager, ensuring adherence to accessibility standards and educational requirements. • Substantive experience in developing tactile graphics for students who are blind or visually impaired highly preferred. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and user feedback to drive graphic improvements.
