Tactile Graphics Artist - Monarch Projects

As a member of the Research, Evaluation, and Digital Information Services team (READS), the Tactile Graphic Artist – Monarch Projects will create and remediate tactile graphics for use with the Monarch multiline braille device by any Monarch user preparing for, seeking, or maintaining Competitive Integrated Employment (CIE). The position will upload graphics files to the Tactile Graphic Image Library (TGIL) using the NetX Digital Asset Management system and work collaboratively with other team members to support the maintenance and improvement of the TGIL website and Monarch app. Key Responsibilities • Create, review, and remediate tactile graphics in accordance with Monarch best practices and BANA guidelines to support Monarch users and Monarch RISE Project participants preparing for, seeking, or maintaining CIE. • Upload, catalog, and maintain tactile graphics and related records in the Tactile Graphic Image Library (TGIL) using the NetX Digital Asset Management platform. • Proficiency in graphic design software such as CorelDRAW and Adobe Illustrator, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills to improve graphics based on data and user feedback. The Monarch RISE Project (formally American Printing House for the Blind CIE & Monarch Explore, Prepare, Engage Project) empowers individuals who are Blind, Deaf-Blind, and have Other Visual Impairments to achieve and maintain Competitive Integrated Employment (CIE) through the distribution of the Monarchs – a game-changing multi-line braille and tactile graphics tablet - and accompanying training innovative initiatives.
