The Graphic Design Teacher will develop and implement engaging, standards-based curriculum focused on graphic design principles, digital media production, and visual communication. The instructor will help students gain technical skills in industry-standard software and prepare for post-secondary education or careers in visual design fields. The role includes classroom management, instruction, and assessment within the framework of Arizona's College and Career Ready Standards and CTE program requirements. Teach use of industry-standard software such as Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, etc.). Qualifications: Required: Valid Arizona Teaching Certificate with appropriate CTE or Arts Education endorsement (e.g., CTE Arts, A/V Technology & Communications or Secondary Visual Arts endorsement) IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, or related field Proficiency in graphic design software and digital media tools Ability to manage a classroom and effectively engage diverse learners Preferred: Industry experience in graphic design, digital media, or visual arts Experience teaching at the secondary level Familiarity with CTE frameworks, Arizona CTE standards, and certification pathways Work Environment: School setting, typical classroom and computer lab environment May require standing for long periods, lifting materials, and attending events or exhibitions Compensation and Benefits: Salary based on district salary schedule and experience Eligible for state benefits including health insurance, retirement, and professional development
