The Technical Editor/Graphic Designer ensures adherence with Section 508 accessibility standards and provides design, layout, and branding to agency publications. • Educating and training staff on design, layout, branding, and accessibility. • Posting cleared materials to the agency website, using Drupal, and providing technical support to the Web Content Manager. Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in journalism, communications, or a related field • Requires 6 years of relevant experience • Extensive experience with graphic design and desktop publishing • Proficient with Adobe Creative suite applications, including InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator • Experience with web content management software, such as Drupal and utilizing SEO best practices • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel and web-based platforms such as SharePoint or Teams • Expertise in Section 508 remediation and in using tools to ensure compliance • Excellent written and verbal communications skills • Highly productive with minimal direct supervision
