Together, we are building a sustainable future for local news.The TEGNA Design Tank in Denver, Colorado is in search of a talented Motion Graphic Designer, with strong 3D or editing to be part of its internal creative department servicing our broadcast television stations and digital platforms. Responsibilities include:Design and animate broadcast graphics for TEGNA local news stations (including logo design, informational graphics, branding and marketing projects)Communicate with stations about projects and daily graphicsLearn CG design software (Chyron Prime) and participate in template creation as neededHandle other essential tasks as assignedRequirements include:Associate or bachelor's degree preferredCandidate must have had formal training in design/art school and preferably motion graphic curriculum at trade school or college. Please don't apply if you are not a designer.Proficient in Cinema 4d and/or Blender preferred, but not mandatory.Applicants with editing experience (Adobe Premiere) will have stronger considerationBroadcast experience desired2-4 years of experience as a motion graphic designer in a professional graphic design environment is preferred, recent graduates are also encouraged to apply!Strong executional skills in Adobe products, specifically Photoshop, Illustrator and After Effects, Cinema 4D and Premiere Pro are also preferred, any Chyron experience is a plusExcellent design and animation skills, extra points if you are an editor and designerA professional portfolio demonstrating compelling and aspirational designs, we want to see your design chops!Strong customer service and communication skillsAble to perform under very tight deadlinesAbility to multitask projectsAble to react to change and take direction effectively and productivelyStrong spelling and grammar skillsMust be able to work a flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends*Upon submitting resume, please be sure to include a link to your portfolio.TEGNA offers comprehensive benefits designed to safeguard the physical, mental and financial health of our employees and their families.
