The Electro-Optical Technician will optimize the performance of electrophoretic displays through manual and computer-assisted manufacturing processes. Job responsibilities include inspecting results, calibrating instruments, generating test reports, verifying performance through final electro-optical testing and documenting the work performed. Additional duties may include setting up experiments with electro-optical test equipment. Shift is Monday to Friday 3pm to 11:30 pm. Responsibilities: •Customize waveforms for use in final customer devices •Set up optical apparatus for use in production •Calibrate production apparatus •Perform optimizations using software-guided processes •Evaluate reports and verify images •Perform basic inventory functions •Perform advanced troubleshooting with hardware and software •Perform calibration of apparatus •Understand and reference standard operating procedures Qualifications: •Minimum of an Associate’s degree in graphic design, computer science or engineering •Work habits that are precise, organized and pay attention to detail •Excellent verbal and good written communication skills to document the work performed •Very computer literate and familiar with word processing and spreadsheet software •Team player who is achievement-oriented and has high energy •Ability to work under limited supervision and to work occasionally alongside an engineer or scientist Preferences: •Experience in a production environment •Experience with optical and electronic test equipment such as oscilloscopes, multi-meters and photodiodes •Experience with MATLAB programming
