The Spring is hiring a Summer Intern who is majoring in Graphic Design.The Spring is a faith-based nonprofit serving those who have experienced domestic violence, sexual violence, and human trafficking and are searching for safety, advocacy, and restoration.The Graphic Design intern will work directly with the Community Engagement Manager to assist with branded materials and our website.RESPONSIBILITIES:Work in partnership with our marketing team to create branded materials such as brochures, tabling collateral, and web designAssist with the creation of content for social media platformsIdeate and strategize a website soft relaunch alongside the Community Engagement ManagerAdhere to brand guidelines and complete projects according to deadlinesSupport the Community Engagement Manager in daily administrative tasksQUALIFICATIONS:Current Junior or Senior standing pursuing a degree in Graphic DesignProvide portfolio showcasing graphic design work Experience using Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) Experience using Canva Understanding of basic design principles (typography, color, layout) Must be able to sign The Spring's Statement of FaithMust have valid Oklahoma driver's licenseKNOWLEDGE, ABILITIES AND SKILLS:Ability to take creative direction and apply feedback Strong organizational and time-management skillsWilling and able to work both independently and as a team memberExcellent attention to detailCOMPENSATION:Salary $15 per hour paid on a bi-weekly pay periodInterns can expect to work 15-20 hours per weekHours will be set to accommodate work needs as well as intern scheduleThe Spring is proud to be an equal opportunity employerMale/Female/Disabled/VeteranPHYSICAL DEMANDS:While performing the functions of this job, the position is both sedentary and requires the ability to be active including standing, walking, in and out of vehicle bending, lifting.
