This hybrid role requires 3 days in office in Santa Monica, and reports directly to our VP of Creative.Key ResponsibilitiesCreate and enforce brand guidelines and brand codes across all graphic workLead and execute design on a wide range of assets: retail point of sale display, product packaging, press packaging, signage, mailersConcept and create packaging for beauty products with innovative structures, eye-catching graphics and a commitment to sustainable solutionsCollaborate cross-functionally with Product Development, Marketing, and MerchandisingWork closely with vendors, printers, and engineers to bring designs to life with precision and polishMentor junior designersWhat You Bring7+ years of design experience, ideally in beauty, fashion, or lifestyleA passionate typographer with a deep knowledge and geeky predilection for hierarchy, systems and type that talks.A sharp eye, elevated taste, and a passion for creating standout workA portfolio that showcases your unique graphic fingerprint and stand-out executionPrevious experience with beauty retail fixtures and graphics especially at SephoraDeep understanding of print production, dielines, specialty finishes (foil, embossing, UV), and sustainable, recyclable and home-compostable materialsExceptional attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to juggle multiple projects with graceA self-starter attitude, collaborative spirit, and a love of design, culture, and brandingExpertise in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign); bonus points for 3D rendering tools like ArtiosCAD, Adobe Substance 3D or Blender
