Through strategic design, this position enhances engagement with the Bob Dylan and Woody Guthrie Centers' cultural legacy.Essential Duties:Create visual communications to convey messages in an effective and aesthetically pleasing mannerDesign social media graphics, advertisements, webpages, brochures, signage, merchandise graphics, email communications, and other communication materialsProduce or coordinate marketing and merchandise design and photography needsDesign branded collateral materials for fund development, including brochures, and presentation guidesProduce or coordinate exhibit branding and layout design needsSeek input, formally and informally, from members and other stakeholders about design process, direction and draft approvals in a timely mannerEnsures all designs are approved by the leadership of ASA and stakeholders as requiredCollaborate with vendors in production and review final productions for errors and ensure that final prints reflect desired specificationsAssist in managing external graphic illustrator contractors and creative agency projectsManage graphic dimension and platform requirementsCollaborate with team to develop a variety of content marketing materialsContribute to visual and copy ideas with members of the marketing teamLight photography editingAct as steward of Woody Guthrie Center and Bob Dylan Center brands, enforcing brand guidelines and standardsOther duties as assignedREQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS Education & ExperienceB.F.A., B.A. in Graphic Design, Marketing, or a related fieldA minimum of five years of relevant work experience developing, designing and implementing graphic design materials two of which in a professional environment such as an agency or corporationPrevious experience with nonprofit sector is preferredSkills and AbilitiesStrong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Creative SuiteMust have excellent project management skills with the ability to effectively and independently manage multiple tasks and competing priorities seeking clarification early as neededMust be detail and goal oriented, with strong organizational skills to manage a continuous workflow of a high volume, multi-tasking environmentDemonstrates ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment with a dynamic range of people and provide support for other staff membersDemonstrates initiative, drive, and proactive problem-solving Preferred Skills Photo editing: proficiency in graphic design software for enhancing images, creating digital assets, and optimizing visuals for print and webSocial media content management: experience designing and scheduling engaging content for social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, X, etc.)
