UAB – Graphic Designer, Athletics

UAB Athletics is hiring a Graphic Designer to create content that promotes UAB’s intercollegiate sports programs. The role is the department’s in-house content producer, designing graphics for social media, streaming, video boards and sponsored content across all of UAB’s athletic teams. It’s a great fit for a designer with a bachelor’s degree and two years of experience who wants to work in Division I college athletics.

About the Role
The Graphic Designer supports the UAB Department of Athletics in promoting UAB’s intercollegiate sports programs. You will produce content for social media, streaming and video boards, create sponsored content for digital media and video boards, and design graphics that promote UAB’s athletic programs. All work promotes the UAB brand while following its brand guidelines. The role follows all institutional, conference and National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) rules and regulations, and reports any known NCAA violations in line with institutional, conference and NCAA policies and guidelines.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and direct graphics for social media, video boards and other media presentations as required.
Design or create quality designs for publications.
Assist the UAB Department of Athletics with content creation for all of UAB’s athletic teams.
Promote the UAB brand while following UAB’s brand guidelines.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
Required

Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
Two (2) years of related experience.
Work experience may not substitute for the education requirement.

Working Conditions
Duties may include travel and attendance at select athletic events, including events held on nights and weekends. This is an onsite role on the day shift; the final schedule is set by the department and hiring manager.
