I’m looking for a graphic illustrator — ideally close to Poughkeepsie, NY — to co-design approximately 50 science textbook illustrations over the next two months. These are concept-heavy visuals, covering topics from mathematics, cellular biology, and physics.Responsibilities:Collaborate closely with me to translate abstract scientific ideas into clear, educational illustrations.Use a mix of isometric perspective (for situational setups) and scientific/biological diagram style (for processes and phenomena).Deliver vector-based graphics (AI/PDF/PNG), print-ready at 300 DPI.Meet 1–2 times per week in person to review drafts and iterate.Maintain a consistent visual style, guided by an existing design spec.Ideal Candidate:Experienced in educational, scientific, or technical illustration.Strong sense of visual hierarchy, layout, and clarity.Familiar with accessibility-minded color use and labeling standards.Comfortable working through feedback quickly and precisely.
