This role sits at the center of that experience. You’ll be shaping how real work gets done, on devices used every day in high-stakes environments. We are looking for an experienced UX Product Designer to play a critical role in shaping the user experience of Sangoma’s desk phones and telephony devices, focused on embedded, hardware-contained device experiences. • Own the end-to-end UX of Sangoma’s desk phone and device experiences, from interaction models to execution • Design for embedded, hardware-constrained environments with physical inputs, limited screens, and real-time expectations • Define task-driven workflows for core telephony functions: calling, transfers, conferencing, voicemail, call handling, and more • Create clear, scalable interaction patterns that prioritize speed, predictability, and low cognitive load • Translate complex communication workflows into simple, intuitive user experiences • Develop UX artifacts including flows, wireframes, interaction specs, and system behaviors • Partner closely with firmware engineers to ensure designs are implemented accurately and perform reliably in production • Work with Product to align UX decisions with real-world usage, customer needs, and business outcomes • Anticipate edge cases, failure states, and recovery paths in real-time communication scenarios • Contribute to usability testing and iterate based on real user behavior • Help drive consistency and usability across Sangoma’s broader device ecosystemYou will be responsible for defining and evolving the interaction models, task flows, and usability foundations of Sangoma’s phone firmware and device interfaces. Requirements • Minimum 3 years of experience (5+ years preferred) in UX and user interface design, product design, or interaction design.
