Location: On-site in Lexington, KY, or Remote within reasonable driving distance to Lexington. Preference given to candidates in Kentucky, Ohio, Indiana, or Tennessee.

The Role

The video editor’s responsibility is to produce videos that enhance the curriculum and promote Stukent products. The videographer works closely with the Stukent CTE content team to transform raw footage into a polished, engaging, and accessible final product.

What You’ll Accomplish

Use computers, computer systems, and computer softwareApply the organization’s brand standards and style guide (colors, fonts, logo placement, intro/outro templates)Apply artistic principles to create original media with animation, visual effects, and motion graphicsEdit raw footageIncorporate graphics, animations, text overlays, and sound effectsApply audio mixing, such as adding/removing background noise, inserting sound effects, and balancing audio levelsAdd music and voiceovers where appropriateApply transitions (fades, cuts, wipes)Create templated assets to use across an editing teamImplement feedback and revisions from stakeholdersExport in correct formats and resolutionsEnsure file sizes and quality meet specificationsMaintain backup copies and organize project files, including version controlStay up to date on emerging trends and editing tools

Requirements

What You Bring to the Table

Required

Proficiency in video editing and motion graphics software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, Davinci Resolve, Final Cut Pro), or similar editing software.Demonstrated ability to listen and communicate clearly actively.Proven track record of delivering accurate and high-quality work through careful review and thorough task completion.Ability to accept constructive feedback and perform effectively in high-stress environments, including meeting tight deadlines.Consistently meets deadlines, follows through on commitments, and takes ownership of assigned responsibilities.Comfortable with change and able to thrive in dynamic work environments that require shifting priorities or varied tasks.Driven to set and achieve ambitious goals, with a continuous improvement mindset that enhances personal and team performance.Uses logic, analysis, and creativity to evaluate problems and develop practical, innovative solutions.Capable of managing multiple projects or tasks simultaneously while maintaining clarity, prioritization, and efficiency.
