Our Design and Digital Products practice operates like a studio within Accenture, holding high craft standards and maintaining a direct line between design decisions and large-scale product deliveries. Our team is made up of specialists in Product Design, Product Management, Engineering, Experience Design, Immersive Experiences, Visual Design, and Content Design. Collaboratively, we tackle complex challenges with speed and precision.

Who you are:

You are a Visual Design Lead who engages in conceptual thinking and leads teams to realize that vision with remarkable craftsmanship and a strong grasp of foundational design principles. You manage the visual design direction and narrative for your projects, overseeing the aesthetic language and design system, ensuring high-quality outputs across all touchpoints. You set high standards for visual excellence, foster a culture of craftsmanship, and are dedicated to nurturing emerging creative talent. As a decisive and trusted creative leader, you effectively connect visual choices to brand strategy and measurable business outcomes. You leverage AI as a creative enabler and are prepared to develop tangible outcomes alongside your team.

The work:

In this role, your responsibilities span three key areas:

Client Delivery: Guide the visual design direction on projects (internal or client-based) from concept through delivery, ensuring design quality, aesthetic cohesion, and adherence to timelines. Translate abstract briefs, brand strategies, and audience insights into clear, engaging visual languages. Uphold and defend a high standard of visual craftsmanship, directing the development of brand identities, design systems, typography, motion graphics, illustrations, and digital experiences. Define the creative direction while remaining hands-on, influencing key design decisions and producing high-quality outputs alongside your team. Utilize AI tools to enhance concept development, iteration, and production, demonstrating how these tools can complement creative thinking. Serve as a principal creative voice during client discussions, confidently articulating your visual perspective and translating design rationale into strategic narratives that help navigate complex decisions. Business Development: Document the impact of AI on your visual design processes and evaluate its effect on delivery quality and team performance to refine our practice. Contribute to proposals, create case studies from your projects, and translate insights into compelling thought leadership materials that showcase our visual design capabilities. Identify new creative opportunities with existing clients, recognizing when challenges regarding brand, design systems, or experiences can lead to deeper engagement, and collaborate with account leads to form a strong point of view. People & Practice Development: Supervise, support, and mentor team members in their daily tasks, assisting them in enhancing their visual craft, building creative confidence, overcoming obstacles, and evolving as designers. Actively participate in the Visual Design craft, sharing methods, resources, and project outcomes to contribute to the discipline's growth. Here's what you'll need:

5+ years of Visual Design experience across various industries, brand types, and contexts. 3+ years of experience leading visual design projects from concept to production. Experience in creating brand identities, design systems, typography, motion graphics, illustrations, and digital UI that exhibit a consistent visual voice. Proven ability to produce high-quality visual work with meticulous attention to detail, including pixel-perfect deliverables and specifications for developers. 3+ years of experience managing or coaching visual designers, facilitating their growth into stronger, more self-sufficient creatives. Experience in agile and cross-functional environments, collaborating with a diverse team to deliver cohesive user experiences. Demonstrated ability to deliver high-quality visual design work that effectively addresses complex product or brand challenges while achieving measurable success in customer experiences and business objectives. A deep understanding of user experience (UX) to ground visual design decisions, ensuring functionality complements aesthetics and guides users intuitively while expressing a cohesive brand narrative. Experience in developing scalable design systems that maintain visual consistency across multiple products and channels. Ability to integrate AI tools into design workflows effectively, enhancing all stages from concept creation to rapid iteration. Hands-on experience with design tools such as Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, and relevant motion or illustration tools; this is not solely a managerial position. Strong facilitation skills to present visual strategies and design rationale to senior stakeholders and guide decisions under pressure. Bonus points if you have:

Familiarity with related areas like brand strategy, service design, or content design, or self-directed expansion of your skillset. Experience in contributing to practice-level initiatives, including working processes, craft resources, onboarding, or community forums. A bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in fields such as visual design, visual communications, graphic design, fine art, or a related creative discipline. Background in management consulting, creative agencies, or professional services environments. Experience in external thought leadership, such as publishing creative viewpoints, speaking at events, or representing your practice within the broader design community.
