Visual Information Specialist

The Desktop Publisher / Visual Information Specialist will be responsible for the design and development of a wide variety of visual materials to include printed publications, presentations, exhibits, educational courses, or any other communications media. Prior experience with visual arts methods, techniques, and materials to design and produce video and/or other electronic media productions required.Prior experience working at a federal public health agency (CDC, NIH, etc) or in a public health setting strongly desired.Demonstrated experience in multimedia, infographics, and print production.Ability to create pages that are visually appealing and legible.Strong collaboration skills and ability to communicate ideas effectively.Outstanding attention to detail and accuracy.Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to work under strict deadlines and prioritize tasks in order to have documents ready in time for publication.Proficient in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
