POSITION PURPOSE The Warehouse Driver delivers product by driving motor vehicles up to 26,000 pounds in gross weight on public roads. PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES Moves, loads and unloads materials around the plant and in/out of vehicles using a forklift Pulls product and assembles them for shipment, packing product in boxes and using banding and shrink-wrap machines Uses computers and other electronic devices Works closely with other personnel and management to ensure shipping deadlines are met Drives motor vehicles up to 26,000 pounds in gross weight, including a manual transmission, 26-ft. straight truck, on public roads to deliver and/or pick up material(s) Follows all safety guidelines, minimizes down time of forklifts and machines, and keeps all forklifts and machines in safe working conditions Performs required daily basic maintenance and safety checks on all vehicles driven OTHER DUTIES: Day shift, with some variation of hours needed to support production deadlines and unanticipated events.
