Web Content Manager

*Knowledge and experience related to web-based communication systems and services including third party systems such as content management and customer management systems *Ability to coordinate and collaborate with internal and external groups *Working knowledge of photography and best practices *SEO and SEM experience desirable *Excellent oral and written communication skills including proofreading and A.P. Style Knowledge *Critical thinking and problem solving skills *Ability to maintain confidentiality in all aspects of the job *Ability to manage multiple priorities, including short and long-term projects *Operating knowledge of and experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Publisher, Outlook, Windows Operating Systems *Operating knowledge of and experience with typical office equipment, such as telephones, copier, fax machine, E-mail, etc. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: *Responsible for developing, organizing, producing, monitoring, coordinating, maintaining and updating website content and design for the district and school web sites *Responsible for assisting in the development and design of graphics for district web and print and media advertisements *Responsible for building, maintaining, and updating district approved CMS-Blackboard or comparable *Produces a consistent visual image on the site by promoting uniform fonts, formatting icons, images, layout techniques, and modularization, including maintenance of template and image archives *Determines appropriate compression techniques, resolutions, sizes, color maps and depth *Stays up-to-date on design methods and website standards *Manages, maintains, and updates district’s mobile app interface *Coordinates with the Information Technology Department on the installation and maintenance of the organization’s internet/intranet technical functions as well as district’s mobile app accounts & functions and the district’s communication platform, including site security *Checks for bugs and problems; diagnose and fix. *Provides training, advice, direction, problem resolution, and support to all web publishers and departments in the district *Plans and performs group and individual trainings, create training materials *Sends out district-wide communications via Blackboard systems for district events and emergencies *Analyzes and reports on traffic statistics *Assesses new standards, technologies and trends, and formulate strategies and plans for enhancing websites *Manages, monitors, and maintains district and school social media accounts *Collaborates with team in communications and marketing efforts within the district and passion for supporting public education *Maintains district brand standards across all platforms *Leads district efforts to support website accessibility and ADA compliance *Performs other duties as assigned Westminster Public Schools is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
