Wine Bar Lead Line Cook + Cheesemonger $26-$28/hr

Full-time with health benefits + overtime eligible - $22/hr starting plus $4-$6/hr in tips Wine Bar Lead Line Cook + Cheesemonger | Bottlehouse | Madrona POSITION OVERVIEW: The role of Lead Line Cook is a role which involves supporting the quality of products and services for the wine-centric, cheese + charcuterie, and small plate food program. RESPONSIBILITIES: Lead Line Cook Duties: \\- Assists along side the Chef + Sous in recipe development & new menu rollout management \\- Participates in timelines for menu creation \\- Understands the management and upkeep of vendor pricing \\- Assist the Chef + Sous with all daily vendor ordering. \\- Sets excellent customer service and work ethic examples \\- Performs additional responsibilities, although not detailed, as requested by Kitchen Manager, Sous and General Manager \\- Assists and participates in accurate count of inventory, delegating when necessary \\- Supports inventory management of all supplies and kitchen equipment. \\- Supports the Chef + Sous in daily prep lists, delegation and communication with kitchen staff \\- Receives product by verifying invoice and appropriate quality of merchandise at all times \\- Ensures that all stations remain stocked before, during, and after kitchen hours Cheesemonger Duties: \\- Manage and ensure Cheese & Charcuterie inventory (rotating selection of interesting - farmstead, artisan domestic and imported, handcrafted cheeses and charcuterie, always keeping minimum selection of 18 cheeses and 7 charcuterie*) \\- Ensure Cheeses and charcuterie are properly labeled along with a cheese & charcuterie "key" explaining basic information regarding product (i.e pasteurized, milk, and info) \\- Inventory management of all cheese & charcuterie \\- Cutting wheels down and wrapping cheese properly \\- Quality control with all cheeses and charcuterie - ensuring that all cheeses are being served at the proper time \\- Manage and Delegate the Upkeep and Organization of Cheese Bible \\- Help coordinate special orders for events, large orders, etc. \\- Experience in a fast paced, multi-faceted kitchen \\- Customer service skills and the ability to present and talk about food + beverages \\- Team player \\- Excellent communication Requirements \\- 1 year previous experience in a related position (school experience will be considered).
