This role also assists with other marketing department tasks and participates in implementation of marketing strategies for the stores. Skills we are looking for: Graphic design experience including design and layout, Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, and other current graphic design software Demonstrated ability to design and create signs, flyers, and promotional materials Experience creating social media content (photos, videos, graphics) Web design experience (Experience with HTML/CSS and WordPress preferred) Commitment to First Alternative’s marketing/merchandising strategies and brand guidelines Excellent oral and written communication skills, including proofreading skills and the ability to distill information into easy-to-understand formats Experience with Microsoft office Professional Suite (touch typing of at least 60 wpm) Ability to obtain Food Handlers Card and Alcohol Servers Card is required Ability to independently schedule and organize work to meet deadlines Able to work as a cooperative member of a team and/or with minimal supervision Demonstrated ability to carry out projects involving multiple priorities and tasks Familiarity with natural foods, organic standards, and basic cooperative philosophies Enthusiasm about and commitment to First Alternative’s mission and principles Who is our ideal candidate? Highly aware and extremely thorough in everything you do Thrives in a fast-paced work environment Flexible schedule, reliable, and punctual Strong work ethic, dedicated, and willingness to work with others in a spirit of teamwork Maintains a positive, outgoing, and cooperative attitude Commissary Driver Hours: 25+ hours (10am to 7pm, Wednesday through Friday) Compensation: $13.90/hour Benefits: Health and dental insurance for staff working 28 hours a week, 15% staff discount on all purchases, paid time off Application deadline: Open until filled Position Summary The driver transports all prepared foods from our Co-op Kitchen to both the North and South Store locations in a safe and timely manner. Additionally, Drivers assist Co-op Kitchen staff with food prep, production, packaging, labeling, and side projects as needed. Position is roughly ½ driving, ½ prep cook.
