Job Description Pittsburgh Zoo & Aquarium Position Description Position Title: Graphic Designer Job Code: Department: Creative Services Job Grade: Reports To: Creative Director and Senior Designer & Manager FLSA Status: Salaried, Exempt Purpose: The Zoo’s Graphic Designer is responsible for creating visually compelling and educational materials that support the Zoo’s mission of conservation, education, and guest engagement. Education/Experience/Knowledge/Skills: Bachelor’s degree or associate degree in graphic design (4) year college or university or equivalent with 1-2 years’ experience in the field; demonstrate a strong artistic ability and high level of creativity; highly proficient with design software programs such as Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Word, PowerPoint. The employee must be able to: • Sit, stand, and use a computer for extended periods while performing office-based tasks. • Climb and work safely on ladders, scaffolding, or lifts up to 20 feet or higher. • Safely navigate uneven terrain or construction areas while carrying equipment or signage materials
