HR Training Director

*This position is 50% Remote* POSITION SUMMARY: This position is part of the Human Resources Department and reports to the Chief Human Resources Officer. The HR Training Director leads the strategy, implementation, and improvement of all state-wide organizational learning efforts for CHSW; Assesses and identifies the organization learning and development needs; Actively searches, creatively designs, and implements effective methods for enhancing, creating and sustaining an effective learning culture through employee training and development, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement. Has access to protected healthcare information (PHI) or confidential identifiable information (CII), both paper and electronic, as necessary, to perform related job duties and responsibilities. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Devises an overall organizational learning and development strategy in alignment with CHSW strategic growth plan Partners with various business departments in assessing, designing and implementing necessary organizational learning for continuous improvement Leads assessment of CHSW training needs through a variety of methods including but not limited to: data analysis, surveys, interviews with staff, focus groups, consultation with management Evaluates existing training programs to determine value, consistency, and alignment with CHSW compliance requirements, mission, vision, and strategic growth plan Develops and implements job training programs to improve performance, interpersonal skills and promote professional development and achieve organizational goals Produces learning and development programs that presents information using a variety of instructional techniques and uses adult learning theories to design and develop effective, efficient and engaging training courses to include instructional materials, participant guides, and evaluative measures Responsible for following up with CHSW leadership and management to ensure that the parties involved in each training program complete their training. In this capacity, also monitors and ensures the achievement of results within the approved training department budget Plays a mentorship role to key L& D staff in the learning and development area, ensuring constant development in their professional skills Plays a strategic role of approving and developing effective training programs and materials, making regular modifications to programs where necessary Leads in the development and documentation of the training path for key positions within the business and communicating this information as needed Promotes individual development plans in partnership with the supervisor so that individual career planning and talent management objectives are aligned and leveraged Collaborates with management to identify required knowledge, skills, and abilities (KSA’s) and knowledge gaps; and work with them on ideas for mitigation plans Creates and documents training effectiveness through metrics and identified outcomes Conducts research, approves, and makes further recommendations for appropriate learning management systems, external learning content and vendors, and databases Conducts analyses in order to identify and define present and future training needs Ensures that all regulatory and record keeping requirements are met in a timely, accurate and systematic manner Tracks departmental/program training records and develops opportunities in addition to developing dashboard reporting for all levels of the organization Stays up to date with the latest instructional technologies through the establishment of personal networks, attendance of workshops, reviewing of professional publications, and participation in professional industry associations Advocates for the values of a diverse population within CHSW and the Community KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: Proven track record in training across a diverse spectrum and comprehensive working knowledge of adult learning techniques Demonstrated ability to develop and produce audio and video learning tracks using standard production tools (Articulate 360 Suite) Strong technical skills and have demonstrable experience using Microsoft Office Suite and data gathering/reporting software, such as Power Point, to produce interactive presentations and Forms to conduct and analyze surveys and metrics Proficient technical skills and have demonstrable experience using SaaS Tools: Office 365 Adobe Creative Suite Articulate 360 Microsoft Office Suite Webinar Platforms Microsoft Team ZOOM Ability to manage multiple projects and meetings with competing priorities, timelines and deadlines Excellent written and oral communication skills with demonstrated ability to make successful presentations Strong organizational, problem solving, analytical, interpersonal skills Ability to effectively work and communicate with individuals at all levels within the organization Ability to develop working relationships and partnerships and work collaboratively with teams Ability to supervise employees Ability to manage confidential and sensitive information in a professional and ethical manner MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Instructional Design, or Training and Development 5 + years’ experience with learning management systems, administration, and training and development experience Any combination of education, training, and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position 2 years demonstrated supervisory experience, which reflects progressive responsibilities in hiring, firing, training, performance evaluations, conflict resolution and disciplinary counseling Successful completion of a criminal background check Successful completion of a drivers check if position requires driving on a regular basis (at least three times per week) or drives consumers.
