This position is multi-facetted. Must be confident using standard shop tools such as table saw, drill press, band saw, panel saw, and hand tools. Additionally, must be computer proficient enough to install and test using data collection software, as well as be able to edit simple graphic designs for use with running a CNC router. A capability in evaluating and redesigning mechanical devices would be helpful, as well as familiarity with working with electronics, soldering, 3D printing, and small computer systems, such as raspberry pi’s. An ideal employee would have a demonstrable interest in the biological sciences, and have some familiarity with computer programming.
