Civil Drafter/ Designer

A candidate with experience working on civil engineering in the corporate, healthcare, transportation/mass transit sectors is preferred. Position Responsibilities The employee in this position will be responsible for: • Preparation of high-quality drawings including civil and site development for major transportation/ transit projects • Working closely with engineers to ensure drawing production is on-time and to the required client presentation standards • Maintaining and reporting on personal workload, forecasting time to complete for tasks • Quality review of drawings produced by others, including checking, mark-up and back-checking in accordance with quality standards and procedures • Comply with Documentation Standards and Quality Systems relevant to client and discipline • Fulfil Project Drafter role – manage the drafting aspects of projects of varying complexity and size, including planning and controlling of deliverables, management of a small CAD team and ensuring effective communication between engineering and drafting staff on the project. • Excellent communication and writing skills Organization Mimar Ponte Mellor (MPM) is a multidisciplinary A/E firm, headquartered in Baltimore, MD, with offices in New York City, Washington DC, and an affiliate office in Harrisburg, PA and Chantilly, VA. Currently, we hold on-going prime consultant and sub- consultant contracts with federal, state, and local governments and with large, respected A/E firms with backlog of five (5) years.
